Pizza with the Best View EVER: NZ Episode 2

We’ve been dreaming of RVing internationally since 2016. I remember when Heath told me the earliest we could go would be 2018, and I was devastated I had to wait that long. But the time has come and we’re here in New Zealand!

Before we picked up our camper van, we rented an Airbnb for a week to take the time to adjust to jet lag and get our bearings in a foreign country. I’m so glad we did, because it gave us a chance to zip around New Zealand’s tiny roads in a car before we tried them out in a camper van.

In this video, we venture over to the tiny town of Akaroa, a small French settlement on the South Island. Heath and I have taken a lot of scenic drives over the years, but this one might just take the cake. We compared to The Road to Hana or the PCH. The mountains are lush and green (and COVERED in sheep as you’ll see). And the water is a deep blue that looks unreal.

Of course as the title might suggest, the crown jewel of this drive is the wood-fired (and gluten free!) pizza at the end.
