July 4th Meetup in Montrose

We are so excited to finally host campers on our own property! And what better weekend to test run our first guests than July 4th?

We have a limited number of RVs coming out this weekend to camp with us, but I know a few people in the area wanted to join us for the July 4th festivities even if they didn’t have an RV. We would love to have you!

Here are the details:

10:00 AM
Carpool from campground property
Warner Point Nature Trail, 1.5 miles in-and-out, easy hike with some elevation changes
12:30 PM (ish)
Post-hike lunch at Horsefly Brewery
Because Heath firmly believes that the best way to end a hike is with a cold beer.
Sunday Disc Golf at Top of the Pines
10:00 AM
Carpool from campground
Heath is obsessed with frisbee golf and there’s a really cool 9-hole course through the forest on a mountain with views like this:
Photo from last fall

Heath has extra discs for anyone who wants to play (and if, like me, you don’t play, it’s still a nice spot to hike the course and take mountain photos).

Sunday Potluck
5:30 PM
Bring something to share and hang out under the trees at the property. We will bring out our Blackstone griddle to hang out and grill.
That’s all we have planned for now 🙂 There is a fire ban right now, so we’re skipping the fireworks and campfires usually associated with this holiday weekend. But no matter! The mountains are calling and we must go.
