Heath and Alyssa Padgett have been living, working and traveling in an RV since their wedding day in May of 2014. According to their parents, they are on permanent-vacation. According to Heath and Alyssa, they work every day. There is probably a middle ground of truth here.
During their first year of marriage, Heath & Alyssa traveled to all 50 states filming a documentary called Hourly America where Heath worked an hourly job in each state while Alyssa filmed the adventure. Their documentary work has been featured on CNN, CBS, Fox, Forbes and has led to consulting work with brands like Chick-fil-A, UPS, and Winnebago.
Together they run HeathandAlyssa.com, a popular RV lifestyle blog. Heath hosts The RV Entrepreneur podcast, where he interviews fellow full-time RVers on what it’s like running a business while traveling full-time. Heath is the CEO of Campground Booking, a software company he started from their Winnebago, while Alyssa manages their production company, Padgett Creative. They also host an annual conference for nomadic entrepreneurs called The RV Entrepreneur Summit.

Heath Padgett is a writer and filmmaker who left his job in software sales to pursue a more adventurous career. Combining a love of travel and his career transition, he decided to go and work a job in all 50 states. Four days after his wedding, Heath and his wife Alyssa hit the road in a 1994 RV and toured across America while they fulfilled two bucket list items—filming a documentary and visiting all 50 states—all within their first year of marriage. Their story has been shared on CNN, CBS, Fox and Friends Morning Show, Huffington Post Live, Business Insider and The Daily Mail.
Heath is the co-founder of CampgroundBooking.com, a software startup that allows campgrounds to take online reservations.
In 2014, Alyssa Padgett convinced her husband Heath to take her to all 50 states for their honeymoon. Somehow he tricked her into doing it all in an RV. They’ve lived and traveled in an RV ever since.
Alyssa is a film producer, travel blogger, and the chief navigator and co-pilot of their Winnebago. She directed and produced Hourly America, a documentary film about their 50 state honeymoon, that was featured on CBS, CNN, Fox, People, Yahoo, Huffington Post, and more. A Beginner’s Guide to Living in an RV, an Amazon bestseller, is her first self-published book.
Alyssa firmly believes living in an RV means it’s acceptable to eat s’mores every day.
