Heath and Alyssa quit their jobs, moved into an RV, and visited all 50 states on their honeymoon—much to the chagrin of their family and friends. They instantly fell in love with travel and decided to start their own business to support a life of constant adventure.
The couple has started five businesses on the road, including Campground Booking, a software compared acquired by Camping World in 2021. They sold two other businesses in 2022 to give them the freedom to explore the world with their two children. As a family of four, they’ve RVed in 9 countries across four continents.
On their blog, HeathandAlyssa.com, they share stories and articles on being a traveling entrepreneur. Their work has been featured on CNN, CBS, Fox, Forbes, People, and more, and their book, A Beginner’s Guide to Living in an RV, is a #1 best seller on Amazon.
Their much anticipated latest book, RVing Across America, is available now.

Heath’s Bio
Heath Padgett is a writer and filmmaker who left his job in software sales to pursue a more adventurous career.
Combining a love of travel and his career transition, he decided to go and work a job in all 50 states. Four days after his wedding, Heath and his wife Alyssa hit the road in a 1994 RV and toured across America while they fulfilled two bucket list items—filming a documentary and visiting all 50 states—all within their first year of marriage. Their story has been shared on CNN, CBS, Fox and Friends Morning Show, Huffington Post Live, Business Insider and The Daily Mail.
Heath is the co-founder of CampgroundBooking.com, a software startup that sold to Camping World in 2021.
Alyssa’s Bio
Alyssa Padgett is a traveler and author best known for her best-selling book, A Beginner’s Guide to Living in an RV, and her latest book, RVing Across America.
In addition to writing books, Alyssa is a travel blogger and film producer. She directed and produced Hourly America, a documentary film about her 50 state honeymoon, that was featured on CBS, CNN, Fox, People, Yahoo, Huffington Post, and more.
She currently is traveling full-time around the globe with her husband and two kids.
