Disc Golf Tina and Eric

RVE 138: How Eric and Tina Make a Living Playing Disc Golf

On today’s episode I’m interviewing Tina Stanaitis and Eric Oakley. Tina and Eric are full-time RVers and professional disc golfers who also run Whale Sacs, a company that makes tie on grip bags that help to dry your hands while playing disc golf. They travel from disc golf tournaments to compete and also sell product while on site.

A few other things we cover in this episode are:

  • How Tina went from working 8 years as a bank teller to traveling full-time and playing professional disc golf.
  • How Eric and Tina are able to make significantly more than other professional disc golfers by diversifying their income streams and not solely relying on tournament winnings.
  • And how they’ve been able to leverage RV travel as a way to get rid of debt and spend more time doing what they love – playing disc golf.

Stories from the Road Podcast

One of my favorite parts of RVing is sitting with other people and sharing stories: the good, the bad, and the hilarious.

The Stories from the Road Podcast talks to RVers from all walks of life about what led them to the RV lifestyle, the things they like and the things they don’t like, and where they see themselves going in the future.
