Kara and Nate Buchanan came up with a dream: visiting 100 countries. The goal: share the adventure on their Youtube channel.
Today on the podcast, I’m interviewing Kara and Nate Buchanan, who were recently voted the best in Travel on Youtube at the 10th annual Shorty Awards. They are getting close to publishing their 500th travel vlog (just in the past two years might I add) and hitting the 200k subscriber mark. In a short period of time, they’ve transitioned their lives from Nashville, TN to being some of the most well-known travel vloggers in the world and earning a full-time income from Youtube.
A few other things we cover in this episode are:
- How Kara and Nate went from zero experience in film to earning their full-time income on Youtube
- Why, even if you think Youtube is oversaturated, you can break through the noise
- How to provide real-world value through video
- What to post on days where you aren’t doing anything interesting
- How to set up your financial runway for travel

Stories from the Road Podcast
One of my favorite parts of RVing is sitting with other people and sharing stories: the good, the bad, and the hilarious.
The Stories from the Road Podcast talks to RVers from all walks of life about what led them to the RV lifestyle, the things they like and the things they don’t like, and where they see themselves going in the future.

You’re awesome. It’s because of people like you that I get to sit around in my RV and record podcast episodes with really interesting people. If you’ve been enjoying the show and want to help others find it, I’d love a review from you in iTunes. Each and every review helps more people find the show (seriously, each one counts).
