RVE 0049: Making the Transition to Full-Time Travel with Life Among Pines

Today on the podcast, I am interviewing Brendan and Sam from Life Among Pines.  Before hitting the road two months ago, Brendan and Sam both started their own businesses.  Brendan used his 5 years of ecommerce experience to start an agency called Quarry Design Group and Sam used her love of animals to start Mugsy Supply House, an Etsy store for pet-themed mugs.  While starting these businesses, they also completed an awesome RV remodel of Phileas, their 2007 Fleetwood Bounder.

A few things we talk about on this episode:

  • Planning for a location independent lifestyle – downsizing, making money, and living tiny
  • Starting a remote agency on the road and building a team of contractors
  • Starting an Etsy business on the road and how to carry products in the RV
  • How to use influencer marketing to grow your business and build your customer base

Quotes from this episode:

“We are really driven, so we didn’t mind putting in the work for building our businesses, getting ready for the trip, and just making things happen in general.  We didn’t mind putting in all that hard work because we were just so excited about what the end result would be.”
